WINTER EARLY REGISTRATION NOW OPEN AND CONTINUES THROUGH DECEMBER 1

Early registration for the winter 2013 season is now open at https://www.brooklynayso.net/inleague and will end at midnight on December 1st. After that date, the standard registration fee is charged, and children will be placed on a waiting list.

Early registration is recommended, as over the past few seasons many divisions have been reaching capacity before the deadline.
Please note that once a division reaches its full capacity, children will be put on a waiting list. This may happen before the end of early registration. If space becomes available, they will be placed on teams in the order in which they appear on the list.

When registering your child, keep in mind that AYSO is an all-volunteer organization, and consider volunteering as an administrator, referee or coach for your child's team. With over 3000 players in our region, referees and coaches are always welcome! In order to boost the ranks of referees, we will assign one coach and one certified referee to every team. Once that has been accomplished, we can assign assistant or co-coaches. If you are thinking of being an assistant or co-coach, please consider becoming a referee. We will hold certification classes before the season begins.

In addition, please remember that:

- Children remain in the same age division for the entire "soccer year": fall/winter/spring
- New teams are formed each season.
- Please do not request specific coaches and teammates, and please do not promise your child
that he/she will play with specific friends or coaches. The only guaranteed teammate
pairings are for siblings in the same age group.
- If your child REALLY wants to play this winter, please do not put off registering. We've been
filling up more and more quickly recently, and later registrants are likely to be wait-listed.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND THEIR RESPONSES.

  • WHERE AND WHEN ARE GAMES PLAYED? Check the Schedules tab after December 15. Locations will be: Brooklyn Friends for U6 through U8. Some U7 and U8 games will also be played at PS 38. U10 through U19 will be played at Packer Collegiate. Exact locations will be determined by registration levels.
  • Refund Policy Full Refund if player withdraws prior to any AYSO activity – no games, no practice for the registered season – and returns the uniform; Partial Refund of $75 if player withdraws after participating in any AYSO activity and returns the uniform; Partial Refund of $60 if player withdraws after participating in any AYSO activity and keeps the uniform or returns a damaged uniform.

  • Player equipment Players may not wear anything that is dangerous to themselves or any other player. This includes, among other items, all items of jewelry and accessories including hair beads & hard barrettes, earrings, necklaces, wristbands and ankle bracelets, watches, casts and splints. With the exception of a “medical bracelet”, no item may be worn and taped or covered.

  • Age Verification Only children born between 7/31/97 - 7/31/08 are currently eligible to play in our program. Although you may register, new U6 players must present for verification (a) an original birth certificate, (b) copy of an insurance card in the player’s name with date-of-birth on the card, or (c) copy of passport prior to participating. Age falsification presents risks for the player, families, and the Region.
