Safe Haven serves to familiarize volunteers with AYSO and also explains codes of conduct. This course is mandatory for all new AYSO volunteers.

Children deserve a safe, fair and fun environment in which to play sports. They also deserve an environment that promotes their physical, psychological and emotional well-being. These are objectives that AYSO uses to create a quality youth soccer program. We, as coaches, are responsible for providing our children with this safe, fair, fun and positive environment in which to play.

In addition, volunteers need an awareness of the levels of risk protection issues and procedures that are required for AYSO to accept any liability for us. With this in mind, AYSO has mandated that all coaches and referees must complete the Safe Haven Course before assuming volunteer responsibilities. You do not need to take the course more than one time; however, you must attend the whole session.

ENROLL today on-line. If you have any questions about Safe Haven, please contact Regional Coach Administrator Bernard Rougerie at brougerie@gmail.com or call 718/216-6432. General Technical registration questions can be directed to support@brooklynayso.org. Division specific registration questions can be directed to the appropriate coordinator.
