Safe Haven Course: SUNDAY, April 7th, 2013
Location: Parade Grounds, meeting at the Concession Stand, Field 2
- MORNING CLASS
- Roster number 201301423 course meets at 10:25am, class from 10:30-11:45
- AFTERNOON CLASS
- Roster number 201301424 course meets at 12:10pm, class from 12:15-1:30
IMPORTANT- New this year, Safe Haven is now a two-part course. Attendees must first complete Safe Haven on-line course, followed by the live Safe Haven update with a local instructor to complete certification. Please follow these steps:
- Complete volunteer registration at www.eayso.org (see instructions below)
- After registering, you will receive a confirmation email directing you to the online coursework. Complete the on-line Safe Haven course. This is a prerequisite for the Region 473 Safe Haven update. If you do not receive a confirmation, then go to http://www.aysotraining.org/, enter your ID# and follow instructions.
- After completing the on-line Safe Haven course, print out your course completion certificate to present to your instructor at the local Safe Haven course.
- Register for local Safe Haven course through www.eayso.org (see instructions below)
- Attend local Safe Haven course to complete certification and be eligible to volunteer. IMPORTANT: Bring on-line course completion certificate, one signed copy of volunteer form, your drivers license or equivalent, and a pencil!!
How to register as a volunteer for the first time:
1. Go to www.eayso.org and click on "I am new to AYSO and want to volunteer" button.
2. Select "I want to do my part as an AYSO volunteer" and click "Next" button.
3. Follow instructions to create your profile and complete form. We are Region 473.
4. The form is several steps long and will ask for such information as address, SSN, drivers license #, and personal and professional references. When form is complete, follow printing instructions.
5. Print and sign one copy of your form and bring, along with a photo ID, to your division coordinator or course instructor.
2. Drag your mouse over "My eAYSO" and select the pop-up "Course Signup" option.
3. In the "Roster #" box, enter Roster number see above, and click the "Search" button.
4. The course information should come up. Click on the selector button for the course and then hit the "Course signup" button.
