How to Receive Passes in Traffic
| Next
In this week's video, Greg Vanney from CATZCoach teaches his players how to receive passes when defenders are nearby.
Greg set up an area of cones, with "gates" or a pair of cones in front of each player. One player passes to another, and the receiving player collects the ball inside the gates and uses the inside or outside of the foot to move the ball outside the gates and pass it back.
This teaches players to move into space after receiving the ball, keeping it away from defenders and maintaining possession.
