Camps and Clinics

Welcome to the Brooklyn AYSO 2023 Summer Camps!

We're looking forward to a great summer. Our camp philosophy is to create the best soccer experience possible for players of all levels in a fun, positive and nurturing environment. Our goal is to provide the Brooklyn soccer community with an affordable camp option that fosters community, teaches sportsmanship, and builds the skill levels of all players. With a camp staff composed of former AYSO players and campers, club, high school and college players, we build our camp through the community we serve.

Our Juniors Camp (entering grades pre-kindergarten through second grade in the fall of 2023) is specially focused on player development through small games that highlight specific skill sets that are necessary for future player development. In addition to working on dribbling, passing and shooting, games and soccer activities help the kids focus in on body awareness and balance, spatial awareness and recognition, and learning the rules of the game. Because we want each of our Juniors to have as much time on the ball with as much instruction as possible, our staff ratio for our Juniors is double that of the general camp for our older players.

All players at Brooklyn AYSO Camps follow a "skills through games" approach. Through morning shooting, passing and dribbling games, kids work on their skillsets that they can then apply to the weekly afternoon round robin tournaments and age group competitions. Through repetition, progressively more challenging games and challenges, everyone will be working constantly on the ball. Recognizing that there is no one size fits all approach, every kid is given challenges and goals that are suitable to their individual levels within a larger group framework. We want everyone to walk away at the end of the week a better soccer player, but more importantly a teammate.

We look forward to your players joining us this summer!

General Questions

Where is the camp held?
Brooklyn AYSO Camps are held at the Parade Grounds. Please look for us on Field 9 (the football field), located at the intersection of Caton Ave and Argyle Rd.

What are the times?
Camp is officially from 8:30am-3pm. We arrive on the field early to set up, so feel free to drop off your children starting at 8am, once the staff arrives.

Is there an after-camp option?
While there is no after-camp option, we do offer drop off services along the F/G subway lines heading back into Park Slope towards Clinton Hill. You do not need to sign up for this in advance, inquire at drop off in the morning.

What does my child need to bring?
All campers should bring water, lunch, snacks and a ball. It’s a long day in the sun, and the kids put in a lot of work; please make sure they have enough food to sustain them!

Does my child need to be registered in the AYSO leagues to attend camp?
All kids are welcome to join our camps, whether or not they participate in the league. For those who are not enrolled, we hope that our summer program provides insights into our core philosophies, and creates a positive impact so that you will join us in the upcoming seasons that begin in September!

What are the camp fees?
We offer two programs in the summer: the General camp program for kids entering grades 3rd-9th in the fall 2023; and the Juniors camp program for kids entering grades Pre-Kindergarten-2nd. The fees are: General Camp: $300; Juniors Camp: $375. While other sports camps charge between $450-600/week per player, we try to offer an affordable option while still providing the supervision and coaches needed to ensure a great camp program.

Is there an option for High School students?
All kids just finishing up middle school and getting ready to start high school can join our regular camp program! This is usually the last hoorah for the multi-year campers and a way to hangout with friends before splitting up for high schools all over the city. However, we will also offer a specific high school pre-season intensive training camp program during Week 5 and Week 6. To help players get ready for their high school seasons, this intensive half day camp option will be from 9-11am. There is an intense fitness aspect to this, as well as time working on the ball, to shake off any early summer rust. If there’s good feedback, we will look to expand the high school option for our community of players! The fee for the high school preseason program is $150/player.
